CRI of Miao Unit Meet in Kristu Jyothi Niwas, Tinsuika

KJN, Tinsukia: There was an animation program for the Religious of Miao Diocese on the 22nd – 23rd of November 2013 at Kristu Jyothi Niwas, Tinsukia. Rev. Fr. V.M. Thomas, SDB, the National CRI President was the resource person. It was a well-attended meeting with 55 religious both men and women participating. The program started off with confession and Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. C.C Jose, the CRI President of the Miao unit. He stressed on the need to be coming together to be energized to be more effective in our mission areas. It was taken ahead by our resource person Fr. V.M. Thomas. Though he used various power points, anecdotes, experience sharing, group discussions what was outstanding was the enthusiasm of the religious: everybody paid keen attention and was ready to add in their reflections to make the session more vibrant. What was stressed in through the session was the need to constantly update oneself and then to reach out. Our Bishop, His Lordship Rt. Rev. George Palliparambil was the main celebrant for the concluding day’s Eucharistic celebration. He pulled the string by just throwing a question to us – “ Being such a good numbers are we really effective?” This was a wake up call for all of us. The religious went back home with enough food to ponder and also gave suggestions to the CRI office bearers to conduct programs like this at regular intervals. Coming together enriches life and improves quality was the feeling of all who gathered. We thank our Bishop, Fr. Felix and the Sisters there for providing for all the necessary details to make our program a success.
