Miao Diocese gets first priests of indigenous origin

Longding, 9 January 2024: History was made in Longding town when Miao Diocese ordained two priests of indigenous origin.

Frs. Simon Samjon Pansa and William Jalem Wangsu, both belonging to the wancho tribe of Arunachal Pradesh, became of the first priests indigenous origin for Miao Diocese.

Fr. Simon, from Ngissa Parish, is son of Phonyai Pansa and Manthai Pansa, and Fr. William, son of Tahjem Wangsu and Phehmai Wangsu, is from Chopnu village under Kanubari Parish.
