Young Priests study Evangelii Gaudium in Miao Diocese

Evangelii Gaudium, the first encyclical by Pope Francis, has been the most studied document since the time it was published. The young Priests of the Diocese of Miao got a chance to glimpse through the document with the help of Fr. Alex Manayil  SDB from Bishop’s House, Dibrugarh on 28th November, 2014 at Kristu Jyothi Niwas, Tinsukia. 

The young Priests of the Diocese reflected together with Fr. Alex on the ‘Joy of the Gospel’. The need for personal prayer and a joyful attitude towards life and ministry are of supreme importance a Priest, Fr. Alex said to the Priests while reflecting on the Document. “We should reflect the joy the Gospel message can bring about and we should not look like ‘someone who has just returned form a funeral’, he added.

All the participants expressed joy over participating at the very meaningful discussion on a very rich Document by Pope Francis. “This Document can serve as a big guidebook to young Priests like me”, said Fr. Rajesh Chinthada from Neotan. “We will try have more joyful attitude towards our life and ministry from now on”, said Fr. Shoby from Changlang.

All the Priests thanked Bishop George and Fr.
