Sports and Games Meet Concludes on Children’s Day at DWS, Roing
A week-long Sports and Games Meet at Divine Word School Roing, concluded on Children’s Day in the august presence of Shri. HABUNG Halyang, Dy. SP, Roing and other dignitaries from Roing Township.
Speaking to the children on the occasion, he exhorted the students to use their energy and time positively for the betterment of self , society , the state and country as a whole . He was speaking during the closing ceremony of the week-long celebration of Annual Sports and games meet of Divine Word School on the occasion of Children’s day on November 14.
“One must be best in whatever they do, be it in sports, cultural activities or studies and must carry forward the values that one learn at home and school for the future.” said the Chief Guest. He also shared with the children the life of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. “Nehru was a friend of children who used to call him as “Chancha Nehru” Wherever he went he made friendship with children. He was a man with a great Vision for our country.
After awarding the medals and congratulating the winners of different events. He also motivated all the participants to be winners in life, he advised them to set up proper goals and devote their time and energy to their studies. Earlier the celebration begun with the garlanding the bust of Nehru and lighting of lamp by Chief Guest Dy. SP Shri Habung Halyang and Guest of Honour Shri Tao Tadap UPO, Roing.
