Diocese of Miao makes a Self-Assessment at Pre-Christmas Gathering in Miao
The Fathers and Sisters working in Miao Diocese came together to make a self-assessment on 18th December 2014 at Kristu Jyothi Minor Seminary premises.
Bishop George had made two surveys on two topics pertaining to the Diocese; 1. The Diocese of Miao in General and 2. Religious Life in Miao Diocese. The result of both the surveys were presented to the participants on this day. The survey was a clear indication of the progress the Diocese has made over the past few years and that there are still areas of improvement for all in the Diocese. The survey on religious life was more relevant given that the Catholic Church has dedicated this new year as Year of the Consecrated Life. Bishop George thanked all the respondents of the survey for their honest responses to the questions.
The Fathers and Sisters came up with many suggestions to improve the commitment to their religious calling. “I felt the survey reflected a real picture of our Diocese in General and commitment to religious life in particular” said one of the Religious Sisters from Namsai District. “I will try to be more committed to my Call”, she added.
The Diocese of Miao congratulates all the Jubilarians working here. And the gathering came to conclusion with the presentation of certificate of appreciation for the Fathers and Sisters who had made outstanding contribution to the Diocese of Miao during the year 2014.
