Miao Diocese Participates in the Divine Mercy Jubilee with Divine Mercy Prayer Chain
Participating in the Jubilee of Mercy with the Universal Church, the Diocese of Miao has organized Divine Mercy Prayer Chain across the Diocese from April 1 to November 13, 2016.
It is our way of participating in the Jubilee of Mercy event of the Universal Church, said Fr. Jose Chemparathy, the Vicar General of Diocese. The Diocese has organized various spiritual events to make this year a special year to experience God’s Mercy. Participating in the Jubilee for people dedicated to the Divine Mercy, the Diocese of Miao has started a Divine Mercy prayer chain across the Diocese from April 1 to November 13, when the Extraordinary Jubilee will conclude across the world.
The event was inaugurated in Miao with the special prayer and Divine Mercy chaplet in which a lot of faithful participated. It was also inaugurated in with Adoration and Divine Mercy prayer in Neotan Parish and several other centres.
Bishop George, who suggested this novel event, made a special prayer for the success of this event. “We feel specially blessed by God as this year coincides with 10th Anniversary of the Diocese of Miao. We pray for God’s Mercy and blessings on all of us in the Diocese throughout this Jubilee”, he said.
Divine Mercy Chaplets will be recited in every centre of the 28 Parishes in the Diocese on different dates. The schedule for the prayer chain is given below:
