Local Benefactors of Kristu Jyothi Seminary Meet in Miao
15th September, Miao: The Local Benefactors of the Seminarians in Kristu Jythi Seminary came together to experience the joy of seeing the Seminarians they support on 7th September 2013.
It was indeed a day of joy for the staff and students of the Kristu Jyothi Minor Seminary to be able to meet their local benefactors. Fr. CC Jose, the Rector of the Minor Seminary expressed great joy in seeing all the local benefactors together and expressed his deep sense of gratitude to each of the kind benefactors for their support through prayers and kind. Speaking on the occasion, Fr. Jose said, “The Church in Miao Diocese is very much local as it is what it is because of the lay leadership from the beginning. All the Seminarians this year are from the Diocese, belonging to the different tribes of the Diocese. Hence it is all the more important that these local boys here in the Seminary are supported by the local benefactors. Thank you for helping these boys from the little you have. May God Bless You all!”
Mrs. Lamati, one of the local benefactors was very happy to see the boys they support grow in knowledge and in faith. She said, “It is a great joy for all of us to see the future leaders of the local Church getting formed here in the Seminary. The Boys could have easily opted for a different vocation but the fact that you have decided to Serve the people of God in our Diocese as Priests, please be committed to the Call you have responded to. We always remember you in our prayers. Please keep us all in your valuable prayers too.”
The Seminarians greeted the benefactors with tribal songs and dances.
