Happiness was written all over the faces of the people of Kanubari Parish as they now how a beautiful Parish Church at Dasathong. The Parish Church was blessed by Archbishop Abraham of Nagapur, central India, who was on a brief visit to this Diocese. Bishop Joseph Aind SDB of Dibrugarh and Bishop George in the presence of big number of Parishiners, Member of the Parliament Hon’ble Ninog Ering and Stake Legislature from Kanubari Hon’ble Agustine and a host of other dignitaries from around this region. 

Archbishop Abraham was indeed very happy to see a large number of faithful in Kanubari and he was particularly impressed with the colourfully traditional reception extended towards him by the people of the Parish. Bishop Aind, congratulating the faithful for this new Church in his homily said that “Church is a visible sign of God’s presence among His People” and he reminded the people, “praying in this Church, we should all become the Temples of the Holy Spirit”.
