Bishop George Pallipparambil who came down to meet the youth on the first day of the visit extended a very warm welcome to them and encouraged them to take up similar event in larger groups and for and longer duration in future. “I am very happy that you chose to come here and I wish you all the very best for your faith sharing programme”, he said.

The youth from Kohima visited the Christ the Light Shrine, where the Door of Mercy is installed and prayed at the Adoration Chapel there and made Confession prior to the celebration of Holy Mass at the Shrine. “We can not describe in words how happy we are to be in Miao. This experience has certainly strengthened the faith of our youth”, said Fr. George.

The Catholic faithful in Neotan was very happy to accommodate the youth from Kohima  in their families for the sharing programme and the youth from the village presented a cultural programme and felicitated them with traditional shawl and mufflers.

“We express sincere gratitude to Fr. Felix Anthony for the warm welcome and for arranging everything so well to make our Faith Sharing Programme truly a spiritual event for all of us. We also thank the Diocesan Youth Vice President Mr. Thomas Matey and Treasurer Miss Moinem Chithan for accompanying us and making our stay memorable”, said Mr. Philip from Kohima.

Several similar programmes have been planned for the promotion and celebration of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy in Miao Diocese in the coming days.
