John Mary Vianney Day is Celebrated in Miao
The Feast of St. John Mary Vianney was celebrated in the Diocese of Miao with animation for Priests of the Diocese, colourful games and interactive sessions on 4th August 2015 in Miao.
Almost all the Priests of the Diocese gathered at the Bishop’s House for the animation programme from all the centres. Rev. Fr. Jose Chemparathy SDB, the Vicar General of the Diocese took the Animation session to begin the day. Speaking to the Priests, he said, “As Priests belonging to one Diocese, we must always build relationships and foster brotherhood among ourselves. Healthy relationship among the Priest does reflect on the work we do for the people here.” He also highlighted on the importance of being responsible for the place and people. ” We all work in a place and for a particular people St. John Mary Vianney has taught us how to be totally committed to the people and dedicated to our responsibility as Priests” he added.
The Volleyball Match between the Minor Seminarians in Miao and the Fathers was a fiercely fought affair with the Seminarians winning the Match 2 – 1. The last minute efforts by Frs. Thomas Erambil and Biju also could not do much in terms of the result.
The Seminarians and the St. Mary’s Boarding children put up a beautiful felicitation programme for the Fathers after the concelebrated Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Jose.
Congratulations to Fr. PT George, the President of the Diocesan Fraternity and his team, Fr. Jose, the Vicar General, the Minor Seminarians in Miao, the Sacred Heart Sisters, the St. Mary’s boarding children in Miao and all the others who planned everything meticulously for the successful celebration of Vianney Day.
