5th August, Kristu Jyothi Niwas, Tinsukia: The Diocese of Miao celebrated the Feast of St. John Mary Vianney, the Patron Saint of all the Priests on 1st August 2013 in Kristu Jyothi Niwas, Tinsukia. Rev. Fr. Mathew Pulingathil SDB animated all the Diocesan Priests gathered on the  occasion with a very inspiring message. Wishing all of them a very Happy Feast, he invited all the Priests to live a simple life with the concern for the poor. He, quoting the example of St. John Mary Vianney and Blessed John Paul II, requested all of them to keep at the centre of their life people at the centre of their ministry. He said to the Priests, “Labour for the Lord and that will not go in vain. Christ must be gloried at all times.” The Animation was concluded with the Sacrament of Reconciliation, followed by Holy Mass officiated by Bishop George. At the end of the Mass, new Diocesan Fraternity President was elected. We thank Fr. Jose Oonukallel, the outgoing President and welcome Fr. P T George, the new President.
