Family day was celebrated at Khonsa Parish on 18^th January 2014. In preparation for the celebration of the family day a series of spiritual animation was done in the parish led by Bros.  Francis Xavior and Sathish from SRM ministry, Bangalore.  Animation on family life was done at Kolagaon and Luthong villages from 13^th to 15^th January . One day animation for the youth was done at Khonsa on 16^th January. About 60 youth took part in the programme. One day animation for parents at Khonsa was conducted on 17^th January. About 100 parents actively participated in the programme. Finally, on 18^th January.

Family Day of the parish was celebrated with Holy Mass presided over by Bishop George Pallipparambil. After the holy Mass there were varieties of games, competitions and entertainment programmes for children, youth and parents. There were also items in which both children and parents were involved. Varieties of food items were available for families to enjoy together. Children and their  parents enjoyed being together and celebrating life together in the parish. For many  it was a unique experience. (Fr.
