Divine Mercy Church Blessed at Kamakyapur of Diyun Parish

The people in Kamakhyapur, a small village under Diyun Parish, had all the reason to be happy on 26 April 2017 as their new Church was blessed and inaugurated by Bishop George.

The old bamboo Church was partially damaged by the cyclone on 28 April 2016. Fr. Rajesh, the Parish Priest, prayed to God for God’s Mercy and for a new Church in the same place. His prayers were answered in the form of this new Church. Hence, the church is named Divine Mercy Church.

Fr. Balashoui, Chancellor of Archdiocese of Visakhapatnam, who was present for the blessing, contributed much to the construction of this new Church. Mr. Rupert Paul from Dubai and Mr. Somlung Mossang from Miao also made contributions to this new Church.

The event was made meaningful by the presence of representatives from all church denominations around Diyun Circle and also with the presence of brothers and sisters from Buddhist community.

Congratulations to Fr. Rajesh Chinthada. This is the second new village Church he was able to construct for the people of the parish within 2 years. The first one was at Balupathar.
