Deomali Youth Organizes ‘Come & See’
The Youth of St. George Parish, Deomali, organized a day of ‘Come and See’ programme for all the local youth studying or staying here on 13th September 2014 at the Parish Church Hall.
Deomali is a small township in Tirap District, bordering Assam. It is a home to many young people from all over Arunachal Pradesh, especially from Tirap and Longding Districts. The Government Degree college here brings many youth from interior villages of Arunachal Pradesh. To organize them and to animate them, the Spiritual Revival Ministry (SRM Bangalore) trained youth of Deomali Parish, under the leadership Ms. Chamai Rajakumari organized a ‘Come & See’ programme. Fr. Felix from Miao was also invited to animate the youth gathered for the occasion.
Mr. Thomas Matey, the Youth Vice President of Miao Diocese said, “It is our humble efforts to bring our Catholic youths together for better guidance and spiritual assistance. We have done our bit now let God take over.” He thanked all the youth gathered for the occasion, sacrificing their holiday to come for this animation programme. “Away from home, left to ourselves, there is always a danger of choosing the wrong path and picking up wrong habits. We the youth of Deomali Parish, through this initiative, would like to assure all our youth that they are not alone. They are a part of our group which aims at strengthening the youth here spiritually”, said Miss Sanli Wangsu, the Youth President of Miao Diocese.
There were about 60 youth attending the animation. They got to know each other better and that they were assured of spiritual assistance by the SRM youth.
Miss Cecilia Wangsa from Nginu Village, studying in Deomali College said, “I am so happy that I came for this animation. I now know that there are many Catholic youth from my place studying here. I am not alone. I can always get help from my friends here.” Mr. Luke from Tissa Parish also a student of the Degree college here said, “I thank Fr. Felix and his youth team for organizing such useful animation programme for the Catholic Youth from different parts of our Diocese.”
