Catholic Women Leaders Meet in Miao
The Office Bearers of the Catholic Women Commission Miao Diocese met together on 21 February 2015 at Bishop’s House, Miao.
The meeting, convened by Sr. Rosamma, the Diocesan Women Commission’s Incharge, was to focus on the duties and responsibilities of the women leaders. Sr. Rosamma said, “It was good to come together. We could discuss on the need of being exemplary as leaders, by having family prayers, regular participation in Sunday Mass, Sacraments, and promote unity, love , forgiveness within the family.”
The President of the commisson, Mrs. Likhro Mossang, said, “We also dwelt on the issues of drug abuse in the society.” They also discussed on issues of injustice done against women. “We should give equal, if not more, importance to girl children in the families”, she added.
Sr. Rosamma and the Diocesan President Mrs. Likro Mossang, Secretary Mrs. Thajin Lamati and four more women present in the meeting have decided to visit other Parishes in the Diocese to have Faith Sharing Session. (With input from Sr. Rosamma)
