Bishop George expresses anguish over the Sri Lankan Easter Day attack

Easter greetings and wishes from Miao!
It is heartbreaking to see the pictures coming from Sri Lanka. Our heart bleeds for the innocent lives lost at the terror attacks on the Easter Day, Bishop George said, on hearing the news about the serial bomb blasts that killed more than 300 people and injured nearly 500.
“Sri Lanka as a nation has suffered enough violence in the past. May the Lord of peace who defeated death itself help the people of the island nation with hope and peace”, said the Bishop.
Suicide bombers targeted the Church goers and tourists on the Easter Sunday.
We condemn the mindless attack on the innocent people and we express our anguish over this. We offer our prayer for the victims and for return of the peace in the beautiful country, Bishop George said. “Our thoughts are with them”, he added.
The Diocese has organised a prayer meet on 28 April, the Feast of Divine Mercy, to pray for the terror victims and for peace in Sri Lanka.
