Holy Spirit Church Blessed at Tengman Village, Manmao
Holy Spirit Church at Tengman Village under Manmao Parish was blessed on 12th January, 2014 By Bishop George Pallipparambil SDB, the Bishop of Miao in the august presence of Rev. Fr. Nestor Guria SDB, the Salesian Provincial of Dimapur Province and the Fathers and Sisters from Manmao and Nampong community.
Tengman is a Big Catholic community with nearly 100 catholic families of Tangsa tribe. It is one of the biggest villages of Manmao Parish, manned by the Pilar Fathers.
The beautiful new Church replacing the old one became a reality with the support form Grace Ministries, Vasai, and from the Society of Pilar. The Tengman Catholic community is indeed very happy to have a beautiful new Church. “We are grateful to God for blessing us with this new Church to come together to pray and grow as one community. We thank also all the kind benefactors whose sacrifices have made this day a reality”, said Mr. Danlem Mossang, the Church Secretary.
In a solemn con-celebrated Holy Eucharist, Bishop George congratulated all the Church leaders in Tengman village for their hard work and also thanked the Fathers and Sisters in Manmao Parish for their contribution towards making the day a success. Around 30 children received first communion during the Holy Eucharist.
On this solemn occasion of the new Church blessing, a souvenir was released by Bishop George.
